Catch The Nate Berkus Show every day
May 13, 2010: I went to Chicago with my best friends for Mindy's 40th birthday. We went to the Oprah Show and ended up in a commercial. Funnest day of my life. And it all started because I asked Nate Berkus to go out for a bagel.
We made it in Nate's commercials. Catch these on NBC during the summer of 2010. Special thanks to A.S. of Chicago and S.T. of Harpo for the Oprah tickets. Look at what you created!
May 13, 2010 - The Nate Berkus Dazzle Ambassadors Arrive in Chicago:
Seriously thought we were cute until we realized we looked like
cotton candy stuck in the middle of Christmas.

From L to R: Dee Dee, Lisa, Kate, Mindy, and me.
Poor choices make great stories: The Nate Berkus Dazzle Ambassadors celebrating our promotion. Yes, we are sitting on a planter but because it was only 5" tall, it effectively canceled itself out. “Lunch at Harpo” turned out to be “lunch on the curb”. One of the funnier moments of our day.
Bobby Morgan, Harpo’s parking attendant, was so fun and charming that he could have easily been mistaken as a Dazzle Ambassador. When he stumbled upon us eating on the ground, he didn't pass judgment and we loved him for this. Look at him enjoying the love.
He looks like a baby but this mover and shaker is Erik Logan, president of Harpo Studios. Oprah hires happy people. Like all of the other Harpo staffers that we had met that day, Erik was a joy to be around and took time out of his day to talk with us. What a great way to end the day!
This day is dedicated to my 80-something and 90-year old neighbors, Stu and Jean Sigafoos, for giddily following Nate and me from the beginning. When I told them I met Nate, they already knew who he was.
What a great experience for you all and how exciting to get up close and personal with Nate! Great photos, very cool promo, awesome recap - YAY for the Dazzlers :)
ReplyDeleteCasey, you're such a great writer! I'll bet you could make money at it! Great photos, too -- you're all adorable!
ReplyDeleteLove the bouncy screaming, btw! ;-)
ReplyDeleteGod, that last promo with you screaming and jumping at the end...EPIC.
ReplyDeleteLoved this first post, Casey. You were made for this. You were made to entertain and bring joy to others.
Oh, and if you ever need another Dazzle Ambassador (or even just a fill-in), call me, as I, too, love Nate. I even have his book, Home Rules! :^)
